The clients wanted something special—something they hadn’t seen in Munich before.

JVW developed a concept that plays with contrast: the ground and second floors are colorful and bold, while the first floor is calm, minimal, and understated. This approach creates a sense of surprise and discovery as you move through the home.

The kitchen, designed by JVW, features an island made from a single piece of limestone, surrounded by rattan cabinetry. Every detail was carefully considered, including a custom dining table and chairs. The dining room takes on a playful jungle theme, with vibrant wallpaper that feels like stepping into a different world. From there, guests move into the bar area, which continues the story with more bold wallpaper, a custom bar counter, vintage chairs from a Paris flea market, and Murano glasses collected in Italy.

The living room offers a quieter moment, with a custom fireplace that subtly references the bar wallpaper pattern.
The first floor—home to the primary bedroom, gym, and office—is intentionally more peaceful, using a soft, neutral palette. The second floor, where the children’s rooms are, brings back the color and energy, influenced by vibrant English interiors. Rugs were sourced from Marrakesh, and bedside tables and lamps came from flea markets in Paris, adding character and a global touch.

This project was a true journey—creative, collaborative, and full of detail. The result is a home that feels personal, exciting, and completely unique for Munich.
